Since Google Android debuted in the fall of 2007 they have grown immensely to now be the leading smartphone operating system. According to Gartner Research, manufacturer's shipped 36.3 million Android based devices in the first quarter in 2011. The Google Android's rapid rise to now be the most popular mobile operating system is one of the most talked about successes in the mobile world.
